Allamanda student’s rare disorder inspires family to help others

Despite being diagnosed with DiGeorge Syndrome, a rare congenital disease that is caused by a large deletion from chromosome 22, Allamanda Elementary School fourth grader Nevaeh Myers worked to raise $330 for the American Heart Association 's Jump Rope for Heart campaign, a cause that means the world to her family.
